Three Tips To Make Your Website’s Design More Appealing

Appealing web design has actually become extremely hard to get wrong these days. The problem is, you’re given lots of templates and platforms to create websites and usually all of those platforms have the same looking templates. Yes, they’re visually nice to look at, but the problem is that it’s the same thing as everyone else. I’m going to give you a few tips in this article on how to improve your website’s aesthetics to make you different from everyone else.

  1. Balance your website’s design

Balance is all about ensuring that you have the right colour schemes. Even when choosing pictures, make sure that the picture that you’re choosing is correctly matching with the other side. For example, if your home page has the picture of your product, make sure the product is firstly centered and make sure the colours to the left and right of it match with the colours of your theme. This makes a small but very noticeable difference. You can adjust the visual impact of your pictures in many ways such as the size, color and even the addition and removal of some elements inside of the picture. For example, if you have a photo that isn’t centered, you should add an element to it to make it seem a little bit more balanced. Achieving this sort of balance is a very small but noticeable detail that can make an impact visually for your consumer.

  1. Pick two or three colours only

Your website should not consist of a rainbow and variety of different colours. I’m not saying that everything has to be the same RGB scheme, I’m just saying that everything should be from the same palette. For example, if you have a lime green colour, then everything should be within that same palette just lighter or darker. Of course, every website needs a minimum of two colours, but I believe there should only be a maximum of three. Have a look at all your favourite websites and big-time companies, you’ll notice that all of them have the same colours. For example, Apple have a black and white design, Spotify have a green and black design for their logo and a black and blue design for their website. There are so many examples like this. Having a lot of colours is very difficult to pull off and only the best of companies can do it – keeping it minimalist is a much better and easier approach.

  1. Don’t leave it to chance – hire a web designer

Quite often people think that just choosing a single platform to make their websites on will be easy enough. Just slap on a theme, pick some colours, showcase your products and you’re good to go. If you’re only trying to get some validity around your business then yeah, that’s fine, but the reality is more likely that you’re trying to sell your products. In this case, you have to do something that differentiates you from everyone else. A really good web designer can really bring your article to life. I would highly suggest getting in contact with one and seeing what they can do for you.

This is only three tips but three very important tips in ensuring that your website is better designed. I’ve owned many businesses, and a templated approach does not work at least 95% of the time. The best businesses have creative and unique designs, not just for their products but for anything related to their business, including their website. I hope this article has been helpful!
